makeup in motion- ayesha: The definition of 'Gothic' today...

The word Gothic is thrown around to describe anything from places, to music to people. as it stands today the definition of Gothic is used to describe architecture, specifically that from the 18th to 20th century. It is also used to describe a trend of fashion in which people wear a lot of black clothing with lace, buttons, fishnet tights, lots of black eyeliner and chunky boots. This fashion is what is associated by the younger generation more, when hearing the word gothic rather than anything else.
Although the word alone conjures up images of or detailed buildings left derelict, and dark images with a sombre feel to them.
