For my Estella i wanted to create her as a woman but in her younger years as a woman around the age of 21 or so. I created a really simple makeup with a slight flush to the cheek and a pink but natural toned lip. I didn't use any mascara and i just combed the borrows slightly. I applied a thin layer of base and that was it. I decided however that i wanted to portray a hidden side of Estellas life and so i added a bruise to the top of her head and partially covered it with hair as i believe this is what she would have done as a means to try and shield it from anyone. I have used colour pictures above here to enable you to see the true way the makeup pictured on camera. In black and white however the makeup is extremely minimal and almost not there which is what i was aiming for as i believe they probably wouldn't have worn much back then and it would have been minimal if they did it also wouldn't be anything like makeup as we know it today.
I was fairly pleased with the outcome of my images i could have perhaps added some sort of colour that may have shown up differently in black and white but it wouldn't have been a true reflection of the time period in which Estella is set in.
